Our History: Who is Hestia?
Hestia is the Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home. When Hestia first started in 1986, we wanted our name to reflect the fact that most of our employees were working moms. Some of those original employees are still with us, and most of Hestia’s employees are still working moms. How did Hestia Creations get started?
Hestia’s early products included the Companions Nativity figurines and Christmas ornaments. Later, we added limited edition ceramic plates. The first town ornament was a Marblehead ornament. These products were sold to retail customers out of a small store in Marblehead. Since named AmeriScapes®, Hestia now creates ornaments of towns all over the U.S. We also produce dozens of other artistic products depicting U.S. town and city scenes.
